Installation for Optic Treatment.

Two person exhibition with Nick Loewen at Monte Vista Projects.

May 26 - June 17, 2018.

For this exhibition I developed a casting process in order to capture the soft texture of sand. Two objects were produced in the studio from fiber reinforced hydrocal & sand. The circular object was cast in hydrocal on site at Dockweiller State Beach, and then taken to a foundry to be cast in aluminum.

In addition to the cast objects, I presented a cyanotype solargraph that I exposed & created on the roof of my apartment in Venice Beach. Together these art objects aim to capture the intangible signatures and energies of a place.
